However, various complications like pain during injection, transient facial nerve paralysis, trismus, hematoma, and paresthesia are associated with the inferior alveolar nerve block technique.\n\nLocal infiltration technique has been proven as a safer and less painful anesthetic injection technique compared to IANB. Unfortunately, the dense nature of cortical bone in the mandibular posterior region hinders sufficient diffusion of anesthetic solution during infiltration. Thus, to achieve an adequate anesthesia for a painless dental extraction of mandibular posterior teeth by infiltration technique, a strong and effective local anesthetic agent having a deeper penetrating property should be used.\n\nArticaine is one of the most widely used local anesthetic agents. It is more potent and has shown more success rate than Lidocaine and Mepivacaine in providing anesthesia in mandibular and maxillary posterior teeth by buccal infiltration diffusibility.\n\nThis study compares the effectiveness of two different volumes of buccal infiltration of Articaine for the extraction of mandibular posterior teeth.",[31,37],{"label":32,"type":33,"description":34,"interventionNames":35},"Group A","EXPERIMENTAL","Buccal infiltration of 3.6 ml of 4% Articaine",[36],"Other: 3.6 ml of 4% Articaine",{"label":38,"type":39,"description":40,"interventionNames":41},"Group B","ACTIVE_COMPARATOR","Buccal infiltration of 1.8 ml of 4% Articaine",[42],"Other: 1.8 ml of 4% Articaine",[44,47],{"type":6,"name":45,"description":40,"armGroupLabels":46,"otherNames":20},"1.8 ml of 4% Articaine",[38],{"type":6,"name":48,"description":49,"armGroupLabels":50,"otherNames":20},"3.6 ml of 4% Articaine","Buccal infiltration of 3.6 ml of 4% Articaine.",[32],[52,57],{"name":53,"role":54,"phone":55,"phoneExt":20,"email":56},"Muhammad Atif S Agwan","CONTACT","966541651713","m.abdulsaleem@qu.edu.sa",{"name":58,"role":54,"phone":59,"phoneExt":20,"email":60},"Abdul K Azad","00966594914343","a.azad@qu.edu.sa",[62,84],{"facility":5,"status":63,"city":64,"state":65,"zip":66,"country":67,"countryCode":68,"cosmosGeoPoint":69,"geoPoint":74,"contacts":75},"NOT_YET_RECRUITING","Buraidah","Al Qassim","52719","Saudi Arabia","SA",{"type":70,"coordinates":71},"Point",[72,73],43.97497,26.32599,{"lat":73,"lon":72},[76,78,81,82],{"name":53,"role":54,"phone":77,"phoneExt":20,"email":56},"966-541651713",{"name":79,"role":80,"phone":20,"phoneExt":20,"email":20},"Abdullah Ahmad A Aloyouni","SUB_INVESTIGATOR",{"name":58,"role":80,"phone":20,"phoneExt":20,"email":20},{"name":83,"role":80,"phone":20,"phoneExt":20,"email":20},"Muhammad Zubair Ahmed",{"facility":85,"status":86,"city":64,"state":20,"zip":87,"country":67,"countryCode":68,"cosmosGeoPoint":88,"geoPoint":90,"contacts":91},"College of Dentistry, Qassim University","RECRUITING","52385",{"type":70,"coordinates":89},[72,73],{"lat":73,"lon":72},[92],{"name":93,"role":54,"phone":94,"phoneExt":20,"email":56},"Muhammad Atif Agwan","00966541651713",{"type":96,"investigatorFullName":97,"investigatorTitle":98,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":20,"oldOrganization":20},"PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR","Muhammad Atif Saleem Agwan","Assistant Professor","100564564",false,"NCT06630819","Buccal Infiltration of Different Volumes of Articaine for Extraction.","Comparing the Effectiveness of Buccal Infiltration of Different Volumes of Articaine for Extraction of Mandibular Posterior Teeth- A Randomized Clinical Trial.","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* All healthy patients (ASA I) or patients with mild systemic disease with no functional limitations (ASA II)\n* Patients aged ≥ 18 years of age.\n* Patients requiring extraction of mandibular posterior teeth including grossly decayed tooth, grade I mobile tooth, root stumps and indicated for therapeutic reasons.\n* Patients not allergic to the drugs or anesthetic agents used in the surgery.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Acute infection at the extraction site.\n* Patients indicated for surgical extraction of teeth.\n* Patients already taking medications affecting pain assessment.\n* Pregnant patients.",true,"ALL","18 Years",{"count":109,"type":110},114,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[113],"NA","This study compares the effectiveness of two different volumes of buccal infiltration of Articaine for the extraction of mandibular posterior teeth.
