Peritoneal signs (e.g., guarding, rigidity, rebound tenderness). Imaging or intraoperative confirmation of purulent\u002Fexudative intra-abdominal fluid.\n\nSystemic inflammation (e.g., fever, leukocytosis, or vasopressor requirement).
