Consequently, ultra-radical tumor cytoreduction procedures, commonly performed in advanced ovarian cancer, entail the excision of abdominopelvic tissues affected by the primary ovarian malignancy, including segments of the bowel, bladder, spleen, gallbladder, diaphragm, and other organs. Rectosigmoid resection (RSR) emerges as the predominant bowel resection, followed by colon and small bowel resections. Intestinal anastomosis post-RSR is indispensable for bowel reconstruction but bears a notable risk of postoperative anastomotic fistula (AL), a major complication. AL incidence rates fluctuate over time, reported between 8-14% in OC surgery patients undergoing RSR.\n\nAL imposes considerable burdens, encompassing elevated hospital costs, prolonged stays, heightened rates of secondary admissions and surgeries, and mortality rates ranging from 3% to 21%. Furthermore, AL delays the commencement of adjuvant chemotherapy, detrimentally impacting overall survival and representing a significant consequence of colorectal surgery.","All inpatients undergoing colorectal resection for patients with ovarian, fallopian tube and peritoneal cancer from January 2018 to June 2023 from multiple study centres were selected for the study.",[20,25],{"label":21,"type":13,"description":22,"interventionNames":23},"Anastomotic Leakage","Anastomotic Leakage in the first month after surgery",[24],"Procedure: Type of bowel resection, surgical complexity score, intraoperative blood loss, perioperative erythrocyte transfusion, type of anastomosis",{"label":26,"type":13,"description":27,"interventionNames":28},"non-anastomotic Leakage","non-anastomotic Leakage in the first month after surgery",[24],[30],{"type":31,"name":32,"description":33,"armGroupLabels":34,"otherNames":35},"PROCEDURE","Type of bowel resection, surgical complexity score, intraoperative blood loss, perioperative erythrocyte transfusion, type of anastomosis","Basic information about ovarian cancer patients and factors associated with preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative periods",[21,26],[36],"Age, BMI, marital status, history of hypertension, history of diabetes mellitus",[38,43],{"name":39,"role":40,"phone":41,"phoneExt":13,"email":42},"Yang Shen, M.D","CONTACT","025-83262742","shenyang@seu.edu.cn",{"name":44,"role":40,"phone":41,"phoneExt":13,"email":42},"Yang Shen",[46],{"facility":5,"status":47,"city":48,"state":49,"zip":50,"country":51,"countryCode":52,"cosmosGeoPoint":53,"geoPoint":58,"contacts":59},"RECRUITING","Nanjing","Jiangsu","210000","China","CN",{"type":54,"coordinates":55},"Point",[56,57],118.77778,32.06167,{"lat":57,"lon":56},[60],{"name":61,"role":40,"phone":41,"phoneExt":13,"email":62},"Yang Shen, MD, PhD","shenyang0924@sina.cn",{"type":64,"investigatorFullName":44,"investigatorTitle":65,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":13,"oldOrganization":13},"PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR","Vice-President, Chief Physician, Professor","100551305",false,"NCT06458361","Identification of Risk Factors and Construction of Prediction Model for Postoperative Intestinal Anastomotic Leakage in Ovarian Cancer","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n1. Although advancements in surgical techniques have mitigated the incidence of intestinal anastomotic fistula, complete avoidance remains elusive. Anastomotic leakage (AL) complications directly impinge on postoperative quality of life and pose life-threatening risks if inadequately managed. Given AL's adverse prognostic implications and the financial strain on patients' families, identifying its risk factors aids in perioperative risk assessment, enabling timely clinical decisions on interventions to enhance prognosis and curtail adverse outcomes and economic investments.",[78],"Ovarian Cancer",[80,11,78],"Anastomotic Leakages","2024-06-09",{"date":83,"type":84},"2024-06-13","ACTUAL",{"date":86,"type":84},"2018-01-01",{"date":88,"type":74},"2024-11-01",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
