Our aim is to explore whether elevated leptin levels can serve as a predictive biomarker for poor treatment outcomes following standard chemotherapy regimens. The findings may help in stratifying patient risk and personalizing therapeutic approaches in AML treatment.","This prospective study enrolls patients who fulfill the diagnostic criteria for AML (excluding APL), with an age requirement of over 18 years and no restrictions on gender. Participation is entirely voluntary, with each participant or their legal guardian being thoroughly informed about the study details and signing an informed consent form. Participants are willing to adhere to and capable of completing all required study procedures.",[30],{"name":31,"affiliation":5,"role":32},"Huifang Huang","STUDY_DIRECTOR",[34],{"name":31,"role":35,"phone":36,"phoneExt":23,"email":37},"CONTACT","13365910318","huanghuif@fjmu.edu.cn",[39],{"facility":5,"status":40,"city":41,"state":42,"zip":43,"country":44,"countryCode":45,"cosmosGeoPoint":46,"geoPoint":51,"contacts":52},"RECRUITING","Fuzhou","Fujian","350001","China","CN",{"type":47,"coordinates":48},"Point",[49,50],119.30611,26.06139,{"lat":50,"lon":49},[53],{"name":54,"role":35,"phone":36,"phoneExt":23,"email":37},"huifang huang",{"type":56,"investigatorFullName":23,"investigatorTitle":23,"investigatorAffiliation":23,"oldNameTitle":23,"oldOrganization":23},"SPONSOR","100605531",false,"NCT07163728","Leptin: A Marker for AML Chemo-Sensitivity","Bone Marrow Supernatant Leptin as A Predictor of Chemotherapy Sensitivity in AML Patients","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n1. Chemotherapy resistance and relapse remain major challenges. Increased bone marrow adipocytes contribute to AML cell drug resistance. This study found that elevated levels of the adipokine leptin enhance oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) in AML cells, accompanied by increased mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (mtROS), which stimulates antioxidant capacity and thereby induces chemotherapy resistance. By establishing a correlation between leptin levels in bone marrow supernatant and clinical outcomes in AML patients, this research provides novel strategic insights for targeting drug resistance and improving prognostic evaluation.",[72,73],"AML","Adult",[72,75,76],"Leptin","Chemotherapy sensitivity","2025-09-02",{"date":79,"type":80},"2025-09-09","ACTUAL",{"date":82,"type":80},"2025-08-01",{"date":84,"type":67},"2026-12-31",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
