(6)\n* With fractures in the distal 1\u002F3 of fibula (not-Maisonneuve)\n* Enabling stability evaluation within 14 days after injury\n* 18-75 years of age\n* with pre-injury walking ability without aids\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* \\- With primary unstable ankle fractures, \\> 7mm medial clear space on primary radiographs\n* With fracture reduction prior to initial radiographic evaluation, open fracture, fractures resulting from high-energy trauma or multi trauma and pathological fracture\n* With type A medial malleolus avulsion fractures \\\u003C 5mm (at the tip of the malleolus), that are not suitable for surgical intervention.\n* With Herscovici type D fractures, involving Lauge-Hansen SA2 fractures (supracollicular fracture - vertical, oblique or transverse direction of the plafond)\n* With displaced posterior malleolus fractures that needs fixation in the judgement of the attending surgeon\n* With neuropathies and symptomatic joint diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis\n* That are assumed not compliant (such as drug abuse, cognitive- and\u002For psychiatric disorders)\n* With previous history ipsilateral ankle fracture\n* With previous history ipsilateral major ankle-\u002Ffoot surgery\n* Who live outside the hospital catchment areas not available to follow up\n* With insufficient Norwegian or English language skills\n* Non-compliant","ALL","18 Years","75 Years",{"count":62,"type":63},29,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[66],"NA","The aim of this study is to evaluate the outcomes after non-operative treatment of weightbearing stable bi-and trimalleolar ankle fractures.",[69,70],"Ankle Fracture, Bimalleolar","Ankle Fracture, Trimalleolar","2023-08-07",{"date":73,"type":74},"2023-08-08","ACTUAL",{"date":76,"type":74},"2023-02-28",{"date":78,"type":63},"2032-12-31",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
